The perpetual dilemma of inexplicable things
How customarily has this happened to you: someone body shames you unintentionally or intentionally, you think it's inappropriate but you still giggle at the joke. If not this, have you ever stood up for your ownself and felt like you are arrogant and presumptuous? I have, and it is an indubitable truth that we all have. The question that is unearthed by the preceding sentences is, "How do you balance between self respect and social acceptance?","How do you behave in a way that no one is offended?".
We come across these dilemmas in everyday life and in a circumstance of not being able to answer these, we realise that not everything is fathomable. When you say, "I don't approve of this joke." a thousand organisms will arise and say, "It was a joke! chill!" but when you know how a joke is meant to make you feel and how it has actually, you will realise how important being arrogant is. Another specimen: keeping self worth away from relationships. 'Selfless love', ' no dignity and personal prestige in love'; these phrases are often glorified but whether or not you accept them is your preference!
Let's derail from these questions and ponder upon the colour grey. Grey? weird but, no one loves it and it is never accurate! sometimes too light, sometimes too dark! what an idiosyncratic shade. The point is, GREY. It is so enigmatic for us to accept that not everything in life will be white or black, in essence, not everything will have a congruous answer. We humans cannot know the answer to everything and also we cannot please/satiate everyone around us.
Sometimes when you stand up for yourself, people will call you out for being self obsessed or pompous but you in the end have to decide what's germane for you. One more instance of this feeling: On twitter you read all this hassle about hustling and working 12 hours a day and people surviving on 3 hours of sleep. Contrastingly, on pinterest you see these self care pins and advantages of 8 hours of sleep. Which one do you believe? We all can concur that having and maintaining an equipoise is a nearly preposterous task. Either you sleep for 8 hours or you come first in your grade, there's no in between (not taking into account people who play games and watch netflix at 3am ;)).

The vexation is not that these perpetual dilemmas are unsolvable but the fact that in every context, the interpretation has to be different. Just like fire and warmth are ultimately products of the same actions, these interpretations will also ceaselessly be the outcomes of how the situation stimulates you to feel.
